Laura & Josh // New House Farm (Feature Film)
Sun-drenched vows, a taste of two homelands, and an evening that refused to be ordinary — Laura & Josh’s wedding at New House Farm in the Lake District is the sort of film that makes you grin, reach for tissues, then rewind the dance sequence.
We open on a golden morning across the farm: wildflowers, warm light and family arriving from across the globe. Josh’s Kiwi crew bring a relaxed, joyful energy; Laura’s British relatives add quiet, heartfelt tradition. Together they create a wonderful, candid fusion of cultures — laughter, hugs and those small, telling glances that tell the real story.
Later we wander down to the lake. Calm water, dramatic fells and an epic drone sweep gave us some of the most cinematic frames of the day — reflections, wide panoramas and intimate moments captured against that sweeping Lake District backdrop. The footage feels big and cinematic but grounded by real emotion: stolen conversations, children splashing, and the couple’s quiet smiles.
As evening falls the party arrives. Laura & Josh’s fully choreographed dance is a jaw-dropping highlight — precise, playful and impossible not to watch on repeat. And then the showstopper: Laura dancing with her father, who’s decked out head-to-toe as ZZ Top. It’s gloriously unexpected, utterly glorious and a moment that turned the room into pure delight.
This film celebrates contrast and connection: two families, two countries, one unforgettable day. It’s sunlit landscapes, cinematic drone moments and honest, quirky human moments stitched together into a joyful, cinematic story — exactly the kind of wedding we love to tell.
